What it does

A GET to pixel-config.reddit.com/pixels/config, Reddit's ad pixel fetching its settings. It was not sent by Reddit itself: Slack's /get-started page carries Reddit's pixel (script15.js, the nu function rea read), and it fired in the Slack inspect run on the page load and again on a click. The answer is the pixel's event list (pixelEventConfigs) and its advanced matching switches (aam.email, aam.phone_number), which say whether the pixel may hash and send an email or phone typed on the page, plus esc.page_metadata.

What our machine does with it

Nothing waits on it. It is a third-party tracker on another platform's page, so no flow, inspect step or engine action reads it; inspect records it in the step's exchanges.json, names it, and SubQ sees it with the rest of the step (rule 74). It is filed under Reddit because its host is Reddit's (PLATFORM_SITES). What it tells us is that a sign-up form on that page can be matched to a Reddit ad audience when advanced matching is on.

What can go wrong

All three calls answered 200 in 2 to 14 ms. A failed or blocked call would only stop Reddit's ad tracking on that page; the Slack page carries on, so nothing in a run depends on it.
