Reports page speed to Reddit: first contentful paint, first post meaningful paint and similar timings, with the route, page type, device type and how the page loaded. The slices rea read (ev_bfd69ffb45d209342b7db55507bec06500072cc7055143f804bef4a9494612d6) are the shreddit-app element: its request handler adds the CSRF token, and for /svc/shreddit/perfMetrics adds route_name, page_type, prefetch, microapp_name and device_type, flags page_not_found when the not-found block is on the page, sends the same numbers on to the W3 reporting (handleWebVitalW3Reporting) and to an events batch (batchPerfV2Event), and cancels the request when none of its metrics is on its own list. It fired on every page we opened, 10 times in all.
What our machine does with it
log-cli's Reddit platform has only log reddit session check (the direct-API engine, with no Reddit client vendored yet) and log inspect on the account's AdsPower browser with no proxy (rule 84). This call carries Reddit's own analytics, and our runs leave it to the browser: nothing waits on it, inspect only records it and names it in each step's exchanges.json, and SubQ sees it with the rest of the step.
What can go wrong
Every one answered 200 OK or 201 Created, in 298 to 971 ms. Nothing in the slices reads the answer, so a failure only loses Reddit's speed numbers and means nothing for a run.
